Actions to improve the quality of olive oil

As part of the implementation of the actions of Regulation (EU) 611/2014 & 615/2014 of the period 2018-2021, a series of training seminars will be held by the Quality Assurance and Food Safety department of Proactive-Business Consultants. The cycle of seminars will cover a wide range of cultivation techniques of olive cultivation, with the aim, on the one hand, of strengthening the competitiveness of olive cultivation and, on the other hand, of improving the quality of the olive oil produced.

The OEFs (Organizations of Oil Producers) participate in the actions:

The actions are implemented with the aim of:

improvement of olive oil quality,
reduction of production costs,
rational use of all inputs (water, fertilizers, plant protection products, energy) and
environmental Protection


The thematic sections that will be developed concern:

The Pruning of olive trees and the management of pruning residues
Integrated plant protection (enemies, olive diseases and preventive actions to reduce infestations)
Damage to the olive crop from frost and low temperatures
