The seminar on organoleptic evaluation and critical quality points of olive oil was held with great success, on Friday 19/04/2019, in Archanes of Heraklion.

The seminar took place under the coordination and organization of Proactive – Business Consultants in collaboration with Ms Germanaki Eleftheria, Panel Supervisor, responsible for the Organoleptic Evaluation Laboratory of Olive Oil A.S. Rethymnon.

The purpose of the seminar was to familiarize those involved with the organoleptic evaluation of olive oil, through an interactive process, but also to inform them about the critical quality points for the production of high quality olive oil.

During the seminar, special emphasis was placed on the correct practices/procedures that must be followed, from the field to the storage of the olive oil, in order for the olive oil to meet the organoleptic characteristics (taste and smell), which will contribute to the olive oil " "liquid gold" to collect the surplus value attributable to it.

It is worth noting that only by relying on quality will our olive oil be able to adequately face the competition of olive oils from other countries.
